September Book of the Month: Three Generations, One Roof, and a Matriarch to Love

There is something uniquely comforting about cracking open a fresh read right as late summer softens into autumn, especially when it centers on strong, messy, magnetic women finding their way back under the same roof.

For my September Book of the Month, I chose The Three Graces of Pearl Street by Elizabeth Wellington Rollins—her debut novel, hitting shelves September 1.

The story follows three generations of women who find themselves living together once again. Right away, you are drawn into the orbit of Graziella: a former nun, the fierce family matriarch, and an absolute force of nature. She is stubborn, deeply human, and almost impossible not to fall in love with immediately.

There is an undeniable warmth that comes from multi-generational family dynamics, where history, old habits, and love collide in tight spaces. As the days cool down and early morning routines shift into September, this feels like the exact kind of rich, character-driven journey to slow down with.

I cannot wait to see where Graziella and her family take me as the chapters unfold.

Are you reading along for September, or do you have another title on your bedside table right now?
